In the superb setting of the property, discover around sixty motorcycles and sidecars from 1900 to the 1960s.

And around a hundred cars from 1892 to the present day, some of which are prestigious and have belonged to famous people: Hitler's Mercedes, Jean-Paul II's Renault Espace, etc. Fifty cycles from 1818 (the balance bike) to the 1960s (the Anquetil bicycle), Lyon public transport vehicles, and some engines: the museum presents rare engines such as the one built by Mieusset in Lyon in 1903 or the 16-cylinder double V of M.Mougeotte (1916) Since 1960, it has been the showcase for the collections of the Henri Malartre Automobile Museum, but the history of the Château de Rochetaillée began long before. Henri Malartre is a pioneer in the protection of automobile heritage. Founder of the museum, he patiently collected old cars but also cycles and motorcycles. His passion for the automobile began very young and he created a demolition and spare part resale business. The turning point in his life came in 1932 when he bought a Rochet-Schneider from 1898. Not having the heart to demolish it, he kept it. This is the start of his collection.
