Jysk Automobilmuseum

The 160 exhibited vehicles represent in total 85 different car makes from the period 1900 to 1987. 140 cars from 1900 and up to 1980s Jysk Automobilmuseum in Gjern is one of Denmark’s leading car museums with a unique and nostalgic quality collection of motor vehicles.

The primary collection is composed of vehicles from before the Second World War, which thereby make up the main component of the museum and the fundament of the car historical story. However, also many fascinating and well-known postwar vehicles are exhibited at the museum. The museum was founded in 1967 by mechanic Aage Louring. He was at the time at the forefront of the development and got a hold of a number of unique cars from a time where the car manufacture was still a craft. At the museum, you can experience several rare cars and follow the development from craft to mass production in the car industry.
