The tour of the Museum of the History of Mobility begins at the entrance gate to the hall on the first floor. Weird looking, wooden means of transport mark the beginnings of the development of vehicles.

In view of the oldest automobiles on display, visitors keep asking themselves whether “these things” actually drove. They did it - on gravel or dirt roads. One of the oldest cars in the museum, a de Dietrich vis à vis, born in 1901, drove with the classic London-Brighton in 2009. Lettering and audiovisual presentations along the ramp repeatedly explain the development of mobility over time and provide information on special events or special vehicles. The exhibits occasionally travel to exhibitions or institutions that are close to the Pantheon Basel. New vehicles are constantly being added, so that the museum on the history of mobility is constantly changing.
Hundreds of exclusive vintage cars, including absolute rarities, were on view at the special exhibitions in the Pantheon Basel. The aim of these exhibitions is to make the wealth of types of traditional car brands accessible to a broad public and to serve as a meeting place and space for conversations between lovers of vintage cars. In organizing the exhibitions, the Pantheon Basel is supported by private collectors and enthusiasts, the respective brand clubs and other institutions.
