Qvarna Motorcycle Museum

Qvarna Motorcycle Museum Qvarna Motorcycle Museum

Qvarna Motorcycle Museum was opened on May 16, 1971. We had an advertisement in the daily press and many came to see what was available.

The name Qvarna was taken from "Husqvarna", as several of the motorcycles were made by Husqvarna. What we did not think of, but were informed by the press was that it was probably Sweden's first motorcycle museum. Even later research has shown that there was no museum focused on motorcycles at that time in Sweden. The interest in old motorcycles was not born at that time. Now there were rooms with space, which is why more and more motorcycles were acquired. The business interior was built up so now there was a small nostalgic country store as well. As far as money, time and energy were concerned, more and more people gathered in the form of vehicles and gadgets. Lightweights, pedal bikes and mopeds had to be crowded with the motorcycles. Radio sets, a small workshop, a petrol pump and much more meant that the school halls were soon full. That is still the way it is.
