Collezione Salsapariglia

150 Vintage Motorcycles from 1900 years, 100 Agricultural and Industrial Engines from 1900 years, 100 Gramophones and Radio from 1870 years, Tractors and Motor Lesa, old bicycles, Sabart Chain Saws

With the inauguration of the "Salsapariglia Collection", this persevering Emilian enthusiast was not only able to realize his idea. His intent - to make his heritage of bicycles, motorcycles, tractors, radios and gramophones accessible and open to all - colors a lifelong passion with altruism: mechanics.

A pleasant obsession that Nello Salsapariglia, born in 1926, has had since he was a child. At dawn, when the "tractor drivers" were preparing the vehicles for the hard day of plowing, he ran away from home to follow the entire sequence of operations necessary for starting.

The visit to the three floors in which the collection is structured is able to make the visitor's mind wander in many sectors of mechanics. It starts with the tractors, the point from which Nello Salsapariglia's motoring adventure began. He spent part of his working life on these mechanical vehicles, dedicating himself to plowing the fields since the mid-forties. Experience that was used to start producing "his of him" tractors, made with components recovered from some military vehicles used by the Americans. With all-Italian creativity and great mechanical wit Salsapariglia created the first “Lesa” tractors using the gearbox of the GMC and Dodge military trucks. By coupling these components he obtained a gearbox with 5 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds, which can also be used with reduced speeds. Transmission group which, together with the Slanzi engines, were the basis of the tractors built by Salsaparaglia.

Small anecdotes hidden by the heavy fusions of the broadcasts of these media, impossible to know except thanks to the story of those who know how to extract the most hidden news from these media by drawing on his great experience and sensitivity.

A path, that of the first floor, which also includes stationary engines. Those who have generally been required to perform perhaps more onerous tasks, propellers whose task was not to provide speed or movement to a vehicle.

Also of great interest is the room reserved for gramophones, radios and projectors, witnesses, such as motorbikes and tractors, of bygone eras.

of those times.
