Brooklands Museum Brooklands Museum

Brooklands, the birthplace of motor racing, a powerhouse of British engineering, and home to one of the world's most extraordinary collections of historic vehicles, with their roots embedded in this incredible site.

With hundreds of cars, aircraft, buses and motorbikes, maintaining a collection like this is no mean feat. An army of volunteers work day-in, and day-out to keep these crown jewels of British transport in tip-top condition.

Brooklands Museum’s motorcycle collection includes motorbikes that were raced on the 1907 banked race track and those built by local manufacturers.

Highlights on display in the Motoring Village and Clubhouse include the record-breaking LPD1 Racing Norton Sidecar outfit, the Brough Superior 1000cc ‘Works Scrapper’ used to take the World’s Fastest title in 1929 and the 1933 Manx Grand Prix Norton International 350cc.
